Ladies and gentlemen, the results from ECEG 2008 are in…

The 2008 edition of ECEG was held at Muselunden, Sinsen in Oslo on the weekend of Sat/Sun 7th-8th of June in scorching heat and moderate wind. Five teams met on Saturday for the tournament which ultimately saw EZ Ultimate come back and win the trophy in a thrilling finale against the Pick-up team. Nerves were visible in the EZ team after going down 5-11 to precisely the Pick-up team in the group stage. Wizards of Ås delivered a great tournament performance and are now sporting cool new Gaia shirts for their team, whilst Pancake and OSI Swingers showed there is great potential in ultimate frisbee at several more Oslo clubs with new recruits throwing fine discs and running hard, the OSI Swingers team demonstrating great team spirit to be awarded the Spirit of the Game award at the end of the tournament. Congratulations!

EZ Ultimate thanks everyone for their participation and we look forward to the 2009 edition of EZ Come EZ Go and welcome all teams back next summer!

Longest travel to tournament: Vian Falcão travelling all the way from Portugal, the Dutch massage team headed by Rob. Thanks also to the other travelling players of the Pick-up team featuring Jenny, Lise and Henke’s brother, Filip – all from Sweden! And though living in Norway, also a mention to Ruslan – the only ultimate player in Norway coming all the way from Kirgistan!
